Safety and Screening

Responsible care begins with the possibility that ketamine—or a group setting—may not be appropriate. Screening is where we look at fit, risk, support, and alternatives together.

What to carry forward

  1. Screening considers physical health, mental health history, medications, current stability, and support.
  2. Not being a fit is a clinical decision made in service of safety—not a judgment about readiness for change.
  3. Experiential sessions are monitored onsite; LuminaThera does not offer take-home ketamine.
01

We screen carefully.

Screening considers your mental health history, current stability, medical factors, medications, and available support. Some conditions or circumstances may make ketamine inappropriate, and we coordinate with your prescriber and current providers when needed.

Not everyone is a fit, and saying so is part of responsible care.

02

Monitored, onsite, and supported.

Experiential sessions are monitored onsite by trained staff. Ketamine for mental health is used off-label. Benefits vary and are not guaranteed. There is no take-home, self-guided model.

You will not drive on the day of a dosing session. Arrange transportation in advance and follow the discharge guidance provided by the clinical team.

Orientation, not an assessment

This overview cannot determine your individual eligibility. Screening and informed consent are required before participation. In crisis, call 911 or call or text 988; LuminaThera is not a crisis service.
