A three-hour live training on how ketamine-assisted psychotherapy works in practice: the protocol, the roles, and Ohio's regulatory landscape. Taught by Jay Karr and Justin Kerr through the Center for Intuitive Practices.

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is a hybrid: pharmacology and psychotherapy, held at the same time by people trained in different things. Most of what goes wrong in KAP goes wrong in the seam between them, when the prescriber and the therapist each assume the other has it covered. This training is taught by both sides of that seam at once.
Jay Karr, LPCC-S, NCC, and Justin Kerr, APRN, PMHNP-BC, have delivered KAP together since 2024, and they teach the model as they run it. You’ll work through the three-part protocol, what the therapist and the prescriber each hold and where those roles meet, the difference between psycholytic and psychedelic processes and the stance each asks of you, how KAP differs from medical-model ketamine treatment, intake and screening considerations, managing adverse effects, and the ethical and legal landscape for KAP in Ohio.
The course carries three CE hours, approved by the Ohio CSWMFT Board and NBCC. It’s hosted through the Center for Intuitive Practices, and registration happens on their platform rather than here.
