Psychedelic Harm Reduction & Integration: Ethics & Practice

Clients are already having psychedelic experiences, most of them nowhere near a clinic. Some come back with an opening that needs tending. Some come back with a question they can’t put down. Either way, they bring it into the room with a therapist who was never trained for it, and the two most common responses, silence or a referral out, both leave the client alone with it.

This training is for that therapist. Jay Karr, LPCC-S, NCC, and Justin Kerr, APRN, PMHNP-BC, teach from the KAP practice they’ve built together and from the integration work that follows experiences that happened somewhere else entirely. You’ll work through the three temporal phases of a psychedelic experience (preparation, the experience itself, and integration), the harm-reduction principles that apply when a client is using outside any clinical setting, where the ethical line of your scope actually sits, and how set and setting shape safety.

The course carries three CE hours in ethics, approved by the Ohio CSWMFT Board and NBCC. It’s hosted through the Center for Intuitive Practices, and registration happens on their platform rather than here.
